Darwin to Broome

In Darwin we met Falk and started to drive down the westcoast. Our first stop was the Litchfield nationalpark. Huge waterfalls, gorgeous creeks and waterholes. We also met some scaring spiders in the rainforests around.

Next stop for overnight was Katherine, where we asked the police where we could stay for the night. They send us to a parking spot at hot springs. The next day we drove to Kununurra where we reached Western Australia. You feel like in the middle of nowhere because the distance between the towns are about hundreds of kilometres.

From Kununurra we made our way to Derby which is on the Westcoast. There you can find one of the highest tides in the world. We spend there a night

Next morning we arrived in Broome. There is a beautiful and famous beach called Cable Beach. Watching the sunset there is very popular. We stay here in Broome for 4-5 days and just enjoy the non-tropic climate. It’s a bit like a paradise.

  1. Hi Lisa, hi Marc,

Hope you have a great time in Western Australia. I've been there with my family a few years ago and really loved being there. I just contacted a cousine of mine who's living in WA since years. About 5 years ago she moved from the Outback near Karratha to a small village. If I get any information from her regarding interesting jobs I'll let you know.

So have a good time together and, if you like, please pick up one of these special small red stones for me ;-)

    CU :-)

  2. Hi again,

If you're interested in jobs near Onslow(my daughter was there a few years ago building fences in the Outback *g* )... please contact me via Facebook.
For the moment I just copy the message I've got from Steffi in WA.

Have a good time - CU
