Broome to Karijini, passing Coral Bay and Exmouth

From Broome we made all our way to Port Headland to get some food and stuff for Karijini National park. This trip was a highlight since travelling in Australia! Karijini is a mountain range with spectacular gorges, waterfalls and creeks. We spent there three full days to climb all the gorges to the bottom to go for a swim and a cool walk between the huge stone walls of the gorges.

The most spectacular was hangcock gorge! The trail was class five from six and a high level of fitness is important to do this trail. First we had to climb down to the bottom and after that we followed the waterstream. We had to climb about stones and rocks and as the gorge got smaller and smaller we had to swim some hundred metres to get to the next rocks and sections! It was an amazing walk and really adventures.

                                                     white-foot -apaches :D

The last day we went to Mt Bruce. The second highest mountain in western Australia! 1235m high. Also this walk was class five! It was not to easy to climb the mountain. There have been very steep sections and we had to climb about rocks and cliffs next to hundreds of metres abys.as we got to the summitwe realised it was worth it!

Next stop was Exmouth. There we spent one night next to a lighthouse and one night at cape range national park which was supposed to be one of the best snorkelling places in western Australia. We were a bit disappointed because we could not see much.

At least we spent one night in Coral bay, but there is nothing except a lagoon.so we went to carnavon to relax a bit!
